Gambler

This is Allan Wright's Gambler+ DLG, bought as a kit and built mostly per plans. There is a huge and informative thread about it on the RCGroups forum, worth reading if you are planning to build one.

My Gambler+ came out weighing 175g=6.2oz with a 300mAh 4-cell NiMH battery.

Almost from the begining I had a problem with the launch peg not holding up in it's place... the force on it made it start tearing the balsa + CF tape. The CF tape didn't do a good job of holding the peg in it's place because the carbon fibers were oriented parallel to the force applied.

Lazy as I am I kept using it this way until the peg eventually got so loose that it went loose and I lost it on a launch... On this same day I had a mid-air that damaged the LE, so it was time for the Gambler to go back to the work bench...
