2004.02.29 - Buenos Aires

I spent this weekend in Buenos Aires with my family... As I didn't know the flying habits here, prior to coming I contacted Mariano Nunes (thanks to Javier from Aircraft-World who put me in contact with Mariano and other modelists in Argentina).

Mariano is a modelist since his young ages and flies mostly gliders in a club outside from the city, he helped me choose the flying site and we arranged to meet here sunday morning. He and his kids gave us a lift to Palermo Park where we found a rather unobstructed field (hard to find... lots of trees in the city parks!) and flew from there. The site is located at coordinates -34.562,-58.4225

Thank you, Mariano, for all your help and for the nice sunday morning on the park. Me, my wife and daughter had a very nice time and we loved your kids!

I usually do AP with my SlowStick but since I learned the wind is not very calm here in Buenos Aires I decided to bring my Alpha 180 electric glider and that was a wise choice. And practical since the Alpha packs into a much more compact and easily transportable box than the SS.
